Rakı nasıl içilir?
Aslan sütü de dediğimiz rakı rastgele içilen bir içki değildir. Rakı güneş battıktan sonra sohbet eşliğinde içilen bir içkidir.
Rakı içmeden önce aperatif birşeylerin yenilmesi makuldür.
Rakı kadehine içecekler sırasıyla konulmalıdır. Önce rakı, sonra su ve isteğe bağlı olarak buz konulur. Ben buz yerine soğuk suyu tavsiye ederim. Bu sıranın karışması anason'un kadehin üzerine çıkmasına neden olur bu da rakının tadını etkiler.
Rakı bardağa çevire çevire dökülmelidir ki anason kokusu etrafa daha çok yayılsın.
Soğuk su, bardağa konulan rakının yarısı kadar olmalıdır.

How to drink Raki?
Raki, called Lion's milk, has its own drinking style. You should drink raki after sun goes down. But not alone - it is much more enjoyable when you can enjoy the moment, having conversation with your friends.
It is better to eat some snacks before (and during!) drinking raki.
There is an order for putting drinks into raki glass. First pour raki, after pour cold water. If you want, you can add also some ices cubes. But I prefer cold water instead of ice cubes. If you mess this order, taste of raki will change. Anise, the spice that gives raki it's specific taste, will go up to first line in glass.
When you pour raki to glass, you should turn to glass slowly - lovely smells of anise will spread around.
Use the same amount of water and raki.
Raki's smell and taste will make you want drink it immediately. But take your time, sip your drink slowly. Hold it in mouth for 2 seconds , take breathe trough teeth and after swallalow it. So with this way, your lungs also can feel taste of raki.
